Abstract: Artificial intelligence has the potential to significantly impact corporate governance. Therefore, in this paper, the author examines the potential ways in which artificial intelligence can be integrated in corporate governance, and how much integration can affect the structure of corporate boards. Considering that, the promotion of gender diversity on corporate boards through various normative and non-normative measures is the goal, the subject of the paper is to demonstrate which form of application of artificial intelligence, may have its impact on gender diversity. The aim of the paper is to determine the scope and legal implications of this type of AI use. The analysis is conducted from two perspectives. On the one hand, the author presents the potential contributions that the application of artificial intelligence can have in achieving measures intended to promote gender diversity on corporate boards. On the other hand, the paper also examines some of the potential dangers that not only the application, but also the further development of artificial intelligence may have in relation to gender diversity.

Abstract: The increasing production and consumption of electrical and electronic equipment generate the fastest-growing waste stream in the European Union, while also leading to significant wastage of rare metals. This paper explores the economic potential and environmental imperative of recycling rare metals from electronic waste (e-waste). The research focuses on analyzing the European regulatory framework, including the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive and the Circular Economy Action Plan, and their role in fostering the development of a secondary raw materials market. Although there is a clear political vision, the economic model for recycling critical raw materials faces numerous challenges. The technological complexity of extraction, high logistics and processing costs, and insufficient incentives for eco-design that facilitates recycling represent significant barriers to creating a sustainable and competitive supply chain compared to primary extraction. In conclusion, the paper emphasizes that achieving the EU’s strategic goals regarding resource independence and the green transition requires more than simply advancing recycling technology. Coordinated measures are necessary, including strengthening producer responsibility, introducing fiscal incentives, and harmonizing standards at the Union level. Transforming e-waste into a strategic resource requires a comprehensive approach that combines regulatory certainty and market innovation.

Abstract: This paper offers a legal analysis of the general terms and conditions of insurance as an integral part of the insurance contract within the legal system of the Republic of Serbia, starting from the normative framework laid down in the Law on Obligations. The core of the discussion concerns the legal nature, application, interpretation, and control of general terms and conditions of insurance, bearing in mind that the insurance contract, by its nature, is partly an adhesion contract. The analysis also covers the classification of insurance conditions into general, special, and supplementary terms, emphasizing their interrelationship and hierarchy. Special attention is devoted to the insurer’s duty to inform the policyholder in a timely and clear manner about the applicable terms and conditions, as well as to the consequences of non-compliance with this duty. The research further addresses disputed issues relating to general terms and conditions of insurance in order to illuminate key aspects of the topic. In what follows, considering the complexity of the subject and the limited scope of the paper, an overview is provided of the principal specificities of general terms and conditions of insurance.

Abstract: In an era marked by the increasingly widespread use of diverse artificial intelligence systems, the question of their impact on nearly all areas of law has become unavoidable. Artificial intelligence significantly influences consumer law, as well as the realization of fundamental consumer rights. This influence is ambivalent, and whether its positive or negative aspects will prevail largely depends on the readiness of consumer law—and the authorities responsible for its enforcement—to adapt to the changes brought about by the technological revolution. The primary focus of this paper is the analysis of the impact of artificial intelligence on fundamental consumer rights. After a brief overview of several definitions of artificial intelligence and a general assessment of its influence on consumer law, the paper examines the ways in which artificial intelligence affects those fundamental consumer rights that are most susceptible to its influence. These include the right to choose, the right to be informed, and the right to legal protection.
