Title: STAVOVI UČITELJA O UPOTREBI TEHNOLOGIJA VIRTUELNE I PROŠIRENE REALNOSTI U NASTAVI LIKOVNE KULTURE
Authors: Eremic, Nina
Abstract: The implementation of virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) technologies in the educational process is one of the current research topics in the field of education. Although the results of the previous research studies on this topic show numerous positive effects of new technologies on the educational process, their implementation is still progressing slowly. The authors note that one of the leading problems regarding the implementation of new technologies in teaching are the teachers’ attitudes towards these technologies and their (in)competence to use them in educational purposes. For this reason, this paper presents research conducted on a sample of 104 primary school teachers from the Republic of Serbia. The primary goal of the research was to investigate teachers’ perceptions of using virtual and augmented reality technologies in visual art education. The results show that a large percentage of teachers are familiar with VR and AR technologies, while only a small number use them frequently for both personal and educational purposes. Additionally, the majority of teachers recognize the potential and positive effects of using VR and AR technologies in visual art education, such as improving the quality of the educational process, fostering creativity development and increasing student motivation. According to these results, it is necessary to consider the possibilities of organizing training for teachers to expand their knowledge, provide support and encourage the implementation of virtual and augmented reality technologies in the educational process.

COMPARATIVE FORMATION IN MONOSYLLABIC ADJECTIVES

Title: COMPARATIVE FORMATION IN MONOSYLLABIC ADJECTIVES
Authors: Josijevic, Jelena; Palibrk, Ivana
Abstract: The system of comparative and superlative formation in English relies on both synthetic (i.e., inflectional) and analytic (i.e., periphrastic) means. Numerous studies have analyzed how a wide repertoire of linguistic and extra-linguistic factors impacts the choice of a comparison strategy (e.g. Leech, Culpeper 1997; Lindquist 2000; Mondorf 2009; GonzalezDiaz 2009). However, with a few exceptions, they focus solely on disyllabic adjectives that manifest more diversity in terms of the preferred comparison strategy. Since monosyllabic adjectives are considered more stable, they have been rarely subjected to such studies (e.g. Smeds 2007). This paper aims to revisit comparative formation strategies in monosyllabic adjectives and does so by analyzing the prevalence of both comparison strategies in 192 different lexemes. Drawing on techniques familiar from quantitative morphological typology (Greenberg 1960; Szmrecsanyi 2012, 2016), the analysis uses syntheticity and analyticity indices as the main indicators of frequency of both free (more) and bound (-er) comparative morphemes. The quantitative data are retrieved from the Corpus of Contemporary American English. The results will demonstrate that monosyllabic adjectives are not a uniform class. The attributed feature of being inclined toward synthetic comparison does not apply to all members of this class, or at least not to the expected level.

Abstract: According to many researchers in the field of physical education, handball has a rich history. Handball appeared in Europe simultaneously in several countries, primarily in Denmark, Germany, Norway, and Sweden. The path to today’s indoor handball led through Czech handball (česká házená) and outdoor handball. The goal of this paper was to research, analyze, and present the most successful periods of handball, both at the Teacher Training School and the town of Svetozarevo, as well as exceptional individuals who brought glory to the town. In addition to the historical method, the method of theoretical analysis was applied in the paper as well. The basic research technique for collecting data was content analysis. The research sample included former players, coaches, male students, and female students of the Teacher Training School in Jagodina – Svetozarevo. The obtained findings indicate that Jagodina – Svetozarevo has a long tradition of playing handball. It began with Chech handball on May 17, 1931. It continued with outdoor handball in 1948, but after the school year 1951/1952, outdoor handball gave way to indoor handball. Thousands of players from the Teacher Training School and other schools brought glory to Jagodina – Svetozarevo and were praised in Serbia, Yugoslavia, and all of Europe. Handball has always been the number one sport in the town on the banks of the Belica River.
