The Impact of Intelligent Transport Systems on Safety, Emissions Reduction, and Travel Time: A Review. Future Internet

Title: The Impact of Intelligent Transport Systems on Safety, Emissions Reduction, and Travel Time: A Review. Future Internet
Authors: Stojanovic, Nadica; Grujic, Ivan; Petrovic Savic, Suzana; Stefanovic, Miladin; Djordjevic, Aleksandar
Abstract: The intensive development of road transportation and the increasing number of vehicles have led to significant challenges related to road safety, traffic congestion, travel time, energy consumption, and negative environmental impacts. In this context, intelligent transport systems (ITS) represent a significant approach to improving the efficiency and sustainability of modern transportation systems. The aim of this paper is to present and systematize the application of modern ITS technologies for improving road safety, reducing emissions, and shortening travel time. Based on an analysis of the relevant literature, the fundamental components and architecture of ITS are presented, including sensor systems, V2X communication, IoT, cloud and edge computing, as well as the application of artificial intelligence in traffic data processing and prediction. The analyzed studies demonstrate that ITS enables dynamic traffic flow management, route optimization, reduction in congestion and emissions, and more efficient responses to emergency situations. Particular attention is devoted to the possibility of simultaneously considering travel time, energy consumption, emissions, noise, and road safety. As a synthesis of the analyzed findings, an integrated algorithm for intelligent traffic management is proposed, operating as a closed feedback loop encompassing data collection, state assessment, prediction, optimization, and control. Future ITS development is expected to focus on the integration of AI, IoT, 6G, and edge computing technologies and their validation using real-world traffic data.

QUALITY OF TEAM DEVELOPMENT AND COHESION IN HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENTS

Title: QUALITY OF TEAM DEVELOPMENT AND COHESION IN HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENTS
Authors: Nestic, Snezana; Aleksic, Aleksandar; Stijovic, Strahinja
Abstract: In the contemporary business environment, organizations face increasing pressure to adopt
hybrid work models that combine traditional office presence with remote work. This research focuses
on analyzing the quality of team development and cohesion in hybrid environments, with reference to
communication challenges, role clarity, and the level of mutual trust among team members. The key
goal of the research is the identification of changes that occur in team dynamics due to spatial
distance, as well as the analysis of factors that directly affect social and task-oriented cohesion.
Through an empirical analysis of the attitudes of employees working in a hybrid mode, the research
aims to determine how technological tools and leadership approaches can overcome the feeling of
isolation and inequality. Based on the results obtained, the work provides guidelines and recommendations
for companies to effectively improve team bonding and ensure efficient business in the digital
environment.

Green Synthesis of Metal Nanoparticles Using Plant Extracts: Comparison of Ag, ZnO and CuO Systems and Their Potential Biomedical Applications

Title: Green Synthesis of Metal Nanoparticles Using Plant Extracts: Comparison of Ag, ZnO and CuO Systems and Their Potential Biomedical Applications
Authors: Kesić, Ana; Katanić Stanković, Jelena S.; Grujović, Mirjana; Marković, Katarina
Abstract: Green synthesis of metal nanoparticles using plant extracts represents a significant experimental challenge, as it requires careful optimization of reaction conditions such as pH, temperature, and the ratio of plant extract to metal precursors. Nevertheless, this approach offers an environmentally friendly and sustainable route for the production of nanomaterials with considerable application potential, particularly in the field of medicine. This paper presents a comparative analysis of the green synthesis of silver, zinc, and copper nanoparticles, with emphasis on differences in formation mechanisms, particle characteristics, stability, and potential applications. Special attention is given to their biomedical potential, which was systematically evaluated. The study is primarily based on the authors’ experimental results, including both published and unpublished data, supported by relevant literature. Nanoparticle formation was monitored by UV–Vis spectroscopy, while interactions between plant biomolecules and nanoparticle surfaces were examined using FTIR analysis. Particle morphology and size were determined by SEM and TEM techniques. The results indicate that silver nanoparticles are predominantly obtained in elemental form, whereas zinc and copper tend to form oxide nanoparticles (ZnO and CuO) due to their higher susceptibility to oxidation. Compared to ZnO and CuO, silver nanoparticles exhibit faster formation kinetics, narrower size distribution, and improved colloidal stability. Overall, all investigated nanoparticles demonstrate significant potential for biomedical applications.

Developing Lesson Planning and Delivery Skills of Prospective Mathematics Teachers through the Microteaching Lesson Study Approach

Title: Developing Lesson Planning and Delivery Skills of Prospective Mathematics Teachers through the Microteaching Lesson Study Approach
Authors: Stevanić, Jelena; Milenković, Aleksandar
Abstract: In recent years, the Microteaching Lesson Study (MLS) approach has been intensively analyzed, especially in the context of working with students - future teachers - from both a theoretical and practical perspective. At the same time, peer feedback has become increasingly present in work with students, as it allows them to evaluate their fellow students' work and, after receiving comments, to reflect on their own teaching practice, which is also of great value for future teachers. This study examines the impact of MLS on the development of prospective mathematics teachers' lesson planning and delivery skills. A qualitative analysis of written lesson plans showed that students in the experimental group in which practical lessons were organized using the MLS approach had significantly fewer deficiencies in their written lesson plans than their peers in the control group who did not have the same opportunity. This improvement was obviously influenced by the strengths, weaknesses and suggestions for improvement that the students expressed to their classmates, first in peer feedback and later in the form of reflections after the delivered lesson. The results suggest that more space should be devoted to the MLS approach in the practical training of prospective mathematics teachers, as it enables them to develop teaching skills, foster a critical attitude towards teaching and develop habits of self-reflection.
