Abstract: Seasonal work can be defined as a specific form of employment in a specific services which are short-termed. In the Republic of Serbia those areas are agriculture, fishing and forestry. Those seasonal jobs are regulated by the Law on Simplified Work Engagement on Seasonal Jobs in Certain activities (applied from January 7, 2019). According to this Law, seasonal worker is entitled to get familiar with the working conditions before they start the engagement and to obtain a certificate of work engagement, as well as to basic working conditions, such as: limited working hours, daily break, weekly rest, right to safety and health at work, right to renumeration for work per working hour and right to pension and disability insurance and health insurance in the event of injury. Besides this, seasonal work is regulated by Labour Law, and its provisions of temporary and occasional jobs, which do not last longer then 120 working days in the calendar year, as well as Law on Cooperatives.
