Title: ŠTA NAM DONOSI „NOVI DOGOVOR“ O PRAVIMA POTROŠAČA?

Abstract: In 2017, the European Union conducted ordinarily fitness check of the rules on consumer law for the purpose the serve. During this fitness check, and after thorough analysis and evaluation of numerous consumer law provisions, which was conducted by the leading consumer law experts from the EU Member States, the conclusion was reached that EU consumer law rules are generally fit for the purpose they serve, as well as that there is a room for enhancement of application and enforcement of these rules. For that reason, the European Commission announced in April 2018 the new reform of EU consumer law, symbolically entitled “New Deal for Consumers”. The subject of this paper are the goals and reasons for the adoption of “New Deal”, as well as novelties brought by legislative proposals stemming from this new reform.
