Abstract

The article analyzes the questions related to the service packaging, which is performed in the function of realization of the process of selling a product, as well as those concerning packaging and requirements that must be satisfied with regard to its composition, reusability and reproducibility. The packaging rules, packaging obligations that are used for packaging, have been shaped by the participants themselves and are applied as a customary commercial practice. Rules on packaging composition, reusability and reproducibility are part of a group of modern rules, which are given special attention through the adoption of regulations, among which is the new Directive 2018/852/EU. That directive pointed out the need to prevent the creation of packaging waste, the measures that should be taken to that end, while defining the deadlines within which it is necessary to achieve a certain level of recycling of packaging waste in relation to the total quantity of waste and type of packaging material.
