Title: ŠTA JE TO MUZIČKA KRITIKA?
Authors: Radović, Branka
Issue Date: 2007
Abstract: After being engaged in the study of music critique, published in daily papers and broadcast on the radio, for several decades now, the only conclusion to be derived was that there is a serious lack of the critique literature written in our language. Since a reviewer is often presented with issues regarding his personal aesthetic points of view, as well as those related to paradigms according to which a work of art is to be perceived even those regarding individual affinities and taste, the paper offers answers to at least some of the questions thereof imposed. Given the fact that the Faculty of Philology and Arts (FILUM) in Kragujevac has founded a Department for Media Music, one may find the paper to be a useful curriculum device. A part of the answer is based on the students’ numerous questions which are, in the second portion of the paper, complemented with representative material in the form of several music critiques published in 'Politika' daily paper. No conclusions are to be drawn, whatsoever, the questions are still imposed upon us, and the conclusions remain to be individual, as well as expected from each of the readers to be derived upon gaining a thorough insight into the text.
