Rečenična ekspresivnost sa stanovišta sintakse u satirama Ukidanje strasti, Ozbiljne, naučne stvari i Vođa Radoja Domanovića

Abstract

In this paper, we have analyzed different forms of expressiveness from the syntactic point of view. The main task was to identify markers of expressive language in the following satires: ”Ukidanje strasti”, ”Ozbiljne, naučne stvari”, and ”Vođa” written by Radoje Domanović. The results of the analysis confirm the

existence of the basic expressive forms such as exclamatory sentences. Besides, we have concluded that ex- pressiveness can be communicated by the insertion of particular sentence constituents into an utterance (e.g.

exclamations, idiomatic constructions, vocative constructions, etc.), by the use of imperatives, as well as by the use of an interrogative word in a non-interrogative sentence because it obtains expressive characteristics in certain contexts. It is not surprising that satires, which ridicule an individual, society, and the government from a critical point of view, contain a great variety of expressive language. To conclude, these results refer to the said corpus, thus further research is needed to consider the observed tendencies a rule
