Abstract: | The aim of the study is to show possible ways of improving the characteristics of the stator insulation system, which will ensure a simple, reliable and significant extension of the operating life of the high-voltage asynchronous machine. In order to achieve these goals, the focus was on achieving longer-term and more stable isolation of the stator package of the asynchronous machine without changing the dimensions of the machine itself. Longer- lasting and more stable insulation of the stator insulation system is achieved by strengthening the weak points on its prefabricated windings. With such reinforced weak points on the basis of prefabricated models, they were made using the classic process with the use of standardized tools. To monitor the effects of improving the insulation characteristics of the stator insulation system, an algorithm was developed based on the law of probability of growth and determination of the life curves. Lifetime curves were determined using the increasing voltage method while reducing the obtained results to the corresponding results that would be obtained using the constant voltage method. The applied algorithm, formed for the purpose of this study, was verified with a high statistical reliability of 95%. The combined measurement uncertainty of the measurement procedure was about 5%. |
