Authors: | Đurđevic, Đorđe |
Issue Date: | 2020 |
Abstract: | In theopoetics, Christian matrix about Virgin Mary and the literary outreach for the archetype of love are intertwined, questioning and negating of the religious, which emerges as impossible, the poem Love Maria creates a multiple female figure, which is, on the one hand, body-erotic, but on the other hand, it represents the incarnation of the soteriological desire for the future and forgiveness. Named as Maria, she evokes the biblical figure of Maria, which is followed by the poetic images and comparisons (spring, bridge, tree, grass) from liturgical canonicals, so, in the poet’s erotic-ecstatic inspiration, she becomes the hypnical certainty of awakening in love, she is the morning of the future purged from the painful present. For that reason, this paper is about the introduction of the mariological discourse into Drainec’s avant-gard hypnical poetics, about the ways it is constituted, as well as about semantic potentials which get activated during the procedure. |
