Сажетак: German Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations for the Prevention of Human Rights Violations in Supply Chains (Supply Chains Due Diligence Act - SCDDA), which came into force on January 1st 2023, establishes corporate due diligence obligations for German companies with at least 1,000 employes, with aim to prevent violations of human rights and the environment in the field of own business, as well as business of their direct and indirect suppliers. The imposition of such an extraterritorial obligation implies cooperation of these German companies and their suppliers in the supply chain. The paper analyzes the most important aspects of the SCDDA, the relationship between German companies and their suppliers, as well as their cooperation in order to fulfill specific, legally prescribed obligations of due diligence: risk analysis, preventive and corrective measures and complaints procedure. In the final deliberations, we dealt with the reasons for harmonizing the operations of German suppliers - business entities from the Republic of Serbia with the requirements arising from corporate due diligence obligations.
