Abstract: Vehicle stability presents the ability of the vehicle to maintain its movement, as well as directional movement, regardless of the effect of external forces. Vehicles such as a tractor have such a position of centre of gravity that it is much higher related to road surface compared to other vehicles. Furthermore, the geometry of the wheel treads as well as the position of the wheels, are completely different in relation to other vehicles. Based on the previous facts in this paper, the analysis of the problem of ways to disturb the stability of vehicles, under different driving conditions, referring to the transverse and longitudinal stability of the vehicle, was carried out in this paper. An analysis of the stability of the tractor in comparison with other vehicles is also presented.
