Abstract

Among sports experts, sports agents/intermediaries in sports stood out as extremely important protagonists on the sports stage. Acting as a “negotiating bridge” between sports organizations on the one hand, and athletes or sports experts on the other, sports agents in the certain sense “control” the sports transfer market and thus play a very important role in creating a modern sports environment. Athletes, sports experts and sports organizations have the right, but not the obligation to use the services of sports agents. Hawover, sports transfer today are mostly realized with their mediation, based on contract on representation in sport, which sports agents conclude with their principals. In that sense, the subject of the autor’s interest in this paper is the determination on the concept and essential characteristics of the contract on representation in sport.
