Сажетак: | In this paper, we examine the relationship between two variants of the Lord’s Prayer from the Gospel of Matthew (69–13) and the Gospel of Luke (112–4). Although both versions of the Lord’s Prayer are essentially the same or similar, they still outline significant differences. We base our research on one of the given dissimilarities, which refers to Matthew’s specific understanding of the relationship between Heaven and Earth, and the importance of Heaven in his Christian conception of the world. This is evident primarily in the fact that prayer petitions or parts of petitions that refer to the Heavens/Heaven are not found in Luke’s version of the Lord’s Prayer, while in Matthew’s they represent one of its focal points. Semantically re signifying the source material, Matthew creates a variant of the Lord’s Prayer on the relationship of opposites, tension, and the ultimate reconciliation of Heaven and Earth, on their current separation and future wholeness. |
