KARAKTERISTIKE NOVOG JAVNOG MENADŽMENTA U AUSTRIJI

Abstract

In the subject paper, all the most important specificities and characteristics of the new public management that distinguish Austria, as a product of the federal state, will be pointed out. On this occasion, at the very beginning, the territorial arrangement of the state of Austria will be determined because it is of essential importance for further understanding of the operation of the public service. Furthermore, the author will put special emphasis on the political structure of the state of Austria, through the clarification of the basic components that make it up. The basis of the article will be the determination of the basic principled positions related to the functioning of the public service, by which the author will, first of all, engage in the presentation of the historical development of the reforms that characterized the public service, and then elaborate the basic characteristics of the new public management in Austria with the perspectives that, in connection with her, we can expect in the future. A comparative-legal review of the state of the new public management in selected countries of the world will also be made, in order to see the advantages and disadvantages of the new public management in Austria.
