Гиноанђео у српској поезији

Abstract

In this paper we examine the development of the figure of the female angel, the gynoangel, mainly in Serbian poetry, with certain steps towards other literary genres. The researched corpus begins in our medieval literature, where the character of Anastasia from The Life of Saint Sava appears as the first gynoangel, and ends in the poetry of our days. The narrow biblical gynoangelological heritage is inversely proportional to the representation of the female angel in Serbian poetry, so it can be concluded that the figure of the gynoangel primarily arises in literary contexts.
