Сажетак: Decision-making in complex environments often involves numerous, conflicting criteria, requiring structured methods to manage such complexity across different fields. The additive ratio assessment (ARAS) method allows for evaluating and ranking alternatives based on their relative usefulness compared to an ideal solution. This chapter provides a detailed overview of the ARAS approach, highlighting its transparency, ease of calculation, and suitability for quantitative criteria. Its key strengths include the ability to combine various indicators and support scenario analysis. Limitations are also discussed, especially in cases involving high uncertainty or qualitative data. To demonstrate practical use, two case studies are examined: selecting handling equipment for a container terminal and assessing the performance of logistics companies. Results show the method’s effectiveness in delivering clear, logical outcomes that aid decision-making in real-world situations. Additionally, the chapter emphasizes the potential of fuzzy extensions to address uncertainty, thereby expanding the scope of multicriteria decision-making in dynamic decision environments.
