ZNAČAJ ZAKONSKOG UREĐENJA RADNE PRAKSE ZA UNAPREĐENJE POLOŽAJA MLADIH U REPUBLICI SRBIJI

Abstract

Starting from the hypothesis that traineeships in contemporary conditions represent one of the key mechanisms linking the education system and the world of work, this paper highlights the importance of this institution in improving the position of young people. The author addresses the structural challenges faced by young people when entering the labour market, including unemployment, precarious forms of work, and the insufficient alignment between educational outcomes and labour market needs. The paper focuses on the analysis of the regulatory framework of traineeships through the Draft Law on Traineeships in the Republic of Serbia, with particular emphasis on its key legal concepts, objectives, and potential effects on the position of young people. It examines solutions related to the definition of a trainee, the duration and conditions of traineeships, mentoring supervision, restrictions on the engagement of trainees, as well as the introduction of the right to remuneration. The aim of the paper is to highlight the importance of the legal regulation of traineeships as an instrument that can contribute to improving the position of young people, their better integration into the labour market, and the strengthening of employability, as well as to point to possible shortcomings of the proposed legal solution.
