DRUŠTVENI RIZICI PRIMENE VEŠTAČKE INTELIGENCIJE I NJENO REGULISANJE U PRAVU EVROPSKE UNIJE

Abstract

Artificial intelligence is being applied in almost all areas of life. Legal regulation is unable to keep pace with its rapid and multifaceted development. The experience to date with the use of existing weak artificial intelligence has led to noticeable and serious societal risks. For this reason, the European Union has adopted the Artificial Intelligence Act, which regulates the fundamental relationship of society towards this phenomenon. The Act is based on the level of risk associated with its application; thus, certain forms are considered prohibited, while high-risk artificial intelligence is permitted, subject to stringent requirements for its acceptance. At the same time, the subject matter of this Act is not to define rights, obligations, or legal protection relating to artificial intelligence itself as a subject of law.
