| Abstract: | The increasing demand for highly mobile specialized vehicles has encouraged the development of alternative drive concepts capable of improving mobility, reliability, and operational flexibility. Radial hydraulic motors represent a promising solution due to their favorable torque characteristics and efficient operation under demanding conditions. This paper investigates the potential application of radial hydraulic motors in heavy wheeled vehicle drive systems. The proposed concept is analyzed from the perspectives of traction performance, power distribution, and operational efficiency. Special consideration is given to vehicle operation in challenging terrain conditions where hydraulic drive systems may provide advantages over conventional mechanical transmissions. |
