dc.description.abstract© Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2014. The classical Frank’s autocatalytic kinetic model for the transformation of an almost racemic into a homochiral system assumes that the amount of the achiral substrate from which the enantiomers are formed is time-independent. We show that for the validity of the basic features of the Frank model, this restriction is not necessary.-
