dc.description.sponsorshipThis paper deals with the autonomous characterisation (interpretation) of distribution contract in EU private international law which is necessary for proper application of the conflict-of-law rule of Art. 4(1)(f) of Rome I Regulation, which applies to distribution contracts, as well as of special jurisdiction rule of Art. 7(1) of Brussels Ibis recast Regulation, which applies to matters relating to contracts. Author represented and analysed the stance of European legal literature with regard to this issue as well as ECJ judgment Corman-Collins SA v. La Maison du Whisky SA (Case, C-9/12) which dealt with the problem of characterisation of distribution contracts.en_US
