A significant place in social security systems belongs to social protection, as a special measure whose goal is to achieve social security of the most vulnerable segments of the population. Compared to the social security system, social protection has several specifics in terms od coverage of persons, scope of rights and conditions for their exercise. Thus, in order to use social protection, it is necessary for the beneficiary to be in a difficult life situation, unlike social security rights, where it is necessary to have the status of an insured person and to have payed a certain amount of money to the appropriate insurance fund. Assisted living belongs to the category of daily services in the community, for the implementation of which funds are provided by local governments. These services are available to children, adults and the elderly who have limited physical and mental abilities due to which they are not able to live independently in their homes without regular assistance in daily activities in a situation when family support is insufficient or unavailable.en_US
