The aim of this paper is to describe the syntactic and stylistic characteristics of free indirect speech in the novel LA SANS PAREILLE by Milisav Savić. Since the analyzed part of the novel is dominated by the narration through this type of indirect speech, we have tried to discover the causes of such strong presence, whether there are forms that are competitive to it, what those forms of direct or indirect speech are and what causes their smaller presence.en_US
