The paper discusses the impact of the global crisis caused by the emergence of a pandemic caused by the new corona virus on service activities in the field of higher education. The measures that most countries have taken in limiting and curbing the consequences of the epidemic on the life and health of people and society as a whole, have led to a terrible blow to economic activities on a global level. This blow to the entire economic activity has fully reflected on the service sector as a whole, and thus on services, both in the field of education in general and in the field of higher education. For that reason, this paper is dedicated to a critical analysis of the declared measures, the ways of their application and the consequences they produced. In addition to the that, this paper is also dedicated to proposing possible new approaches so that service activities in this extremely important area, not only respond to existing challenges of the new age, but also represent the development engine of our society as a whole in the future.en_US
