dc.description.abstract | The development of information and communication technologies has created the conditions for the mass spread of the sharing economy. The sharing economy is based on the idea of cooperation and sharing of various resources necessary for the provision of services, possessed by many individuals interested in more efficient and frequent use of these resources. The emergence of the sharing economy also significantly affects the consumer protection law by creating legal relationships and problems that are not covered by existing regulations. The subject of this paper is the analysis of the basic problems of consumer law related to the development of the sharing economy, as well as the determination of the basic ways and mechanisms for overcoming these problems. After analyzing the concept, basic features and legal relations that arise from the realization of business models of the sharing economy, the author dealt with the impact of the analyzed legal relations on consumer protection law. The author performed the assessment of the impact of the sharing economy on the consumer protection law, as well as the assessment of the adaptation of existing regulations to the challenges of the sharing economy. These assessments were conducted primarily by analyzing the various obligations and responsibilities that participants in the sharing economy business model have towards end-users. | en_US |
