dc.description.abstractT he subject of this paper is the type of speech in the publicistic style connected to the election campaign in 2016 and 2017. newspapers are full of various contents and media that have the influence on the media. They are linguistic in their structure and satisfy the function of the text. They participate in the communication process with a clearly defined relationship between the sender and the recipient. The paper deals with the types of transmission of reported speech and their function in the language. To a lesser extent, attention is paid to the co-occurrence of the language code of newspaper articles and para-lingual code, i.e. sociolinguistic parameters of verbal messages of the publicistic style.en_US
