Title: POLITIKA OKA U KOMEDIJI BALKANSKI ŠPIJUN DUŠANA KOVAČEVIĆA
Authors: Zivkovic, Ana
Issue Date: 2019
Abstract: Тhis paper interprets the structural elements in Dušan Kovačević’s comedy The Balkan Spy. The logistics of perception is examined applying political theory. This affects the development of comediographic actions and characters. The results show that a unique and „natural” human eye decomposes by technical effects and materials for observation and detection (camera, spyglass, projector, glasses). Since the effect of the real is constructed with various eye prostheses, Ilija Čvorović testifies about contemporary experience of a subject – anatomical abolition of eyes. The recorded photographs stop time and diminish sensual temporality of a witness. The acceptance of artificial reconstruction of an eye opens the space for logistics of perception not only in art, but also in law, medicine or journalism. Judging by contemporary literary and cultural theories, comic worlds are modeled resembling "war" or "explicit" models of reality, hence we conclude that The Balkan Spy reconsiders important scientific paradigms which stem back from the time of the French Revolution.
