dc.description.abstracte subject of analysis is the stylistically marked use of the adjective Serbian in the headlines from electronic editions of Serbian and Slovenian press. We have isolated the most commonly used types of the usage of the adjective derived from ethnonym, and the results obtained are looked at from the ethnolinguistic perspective. We examined the usage of phraseology and figurativeness as linguistic and stylistic expressions of ethnostereotypes. Being their subject, auto-stereotypes and hetero-stereotypes are characteristic of texts in which intercultural communication is developed.en_US
