dc.description.abstractDonatio ante (propter) nuptias presents the assets that husband, or someone else on his behalf, has given, as a present, to a wife, before or in the purposes of marriage, that will enable her existence in the cases where marriage no longer lasts. In this work origins and development of this specific form of present will be presented, since postclassical law until Iustinian's legislatation and its legal regulation that will show graduate closing and equalizing with institute of dowry which, at the end, resulted in changing of the name - donatio propter nupitas.en_US
