dc.description.abstractThe paper deals with differences between rhetoric as a science and oratory as a practice, as well as the difference between oratory and public speeches. It is concluded that oratory implies a highly aestheticized speech with the possibility of prior preparation, delivered in solemn circumstances, while oratory implies improvised, prepared and learned public speech.en_US
