In this paper we will present the basic principles behind the flipped classroom method, focusing on the advantages and disadvantages that this method brings in an era where the use of computer is prominent. The theoretic framework will be laid out, where we explain the approach of the method, the pedagogic principles behind it, the roles of teachers and students, the importance of modern technology and how all this affects the classroom dynamics when compared to the more traditional ways of teaching that are still used. Various factors (both inside and outside of the classroom) that can influence the implementation of the flipped classroom method will be discussed.en_US
