The modern tourist market is characterized by almost daily changes on the side of tourist demand, due to the needs of tourists as extremely demanding consumers. The tourist offer is extremely complex and a large number of service providers have to respond to the high demand of tourists in order to achieve the competitiveness of one destination over another, locally or at regional, national and international levels. That was the reason why research on the attitudes of employees in the companies of the tourism industry of Vojvodina was conducted in 201. Its aim was to draw some conclusions about whether rural tourism is an opportunity for the development of tourism in Vojvodina. That is, can it contribute to increasing the competitiveness of Vojvodina as a destination and to enriching the country's tourist offer?en_US
