The text of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia is characterized by the presence of a very diverse system of predicate constructions, which are an indicator that the nominal character of the administrative functional style is reflected in terms of the used corpus of predicates. The aim of this research is to show the place of decomposed and periphrastic predicates as a result of nominalizing statements within the system of noun predicates. The chosen methodology is subordinated to the task of our research, which involves primarily a syntactic approach. The starting criterion in determining the predicate is functional, which is combined with formal, ie structural. The paper often uses the test of transformation, and a pragmatic criterion is included in the analysis, in order to shed light on the causes of frequent use of the mentioned predicate types. Research has shown that decomposed predicates in the corpus are realized in two basic models: 1) copula + у + deverbative noun in the locative and 2) semicopula + deverbative noun in the accusative, while periphrastic predicates are achieved consistently with transitive verbs followed by verb complement. The analysis also showed that the analytical expression that emerges in the process of decomposing predicates implies numerous changes on the syntactic level of sentence structure, whereby the semicopulative verb becomes the one that dictates the position of the deverbative noun.en_US
