The aim of this paper is to confront and stratify compositional scheme with a specific motif of clash between relatives due to unrecognition. Equally present in some Vuk Karadzić's, Sima Milutinović's and some Bulgarian variants, same as in the Persian canto "Shahnama", this motif reveals its complexity based on readers perspective, when the most significant analogies and differences appear in the named scheme: from genre dualism (ballad or epic), to the problem of mythical or naturalistic (historical) space or idea and Maximilian Braun's typology of heroes.en_US
