The specific interference of different poetic models determines various ways of reading Ivo Andrić's stories from the late period of his work. Both realistic and poetical, they open diffuse, always complex vision of historical and fictional, based on the primary mixture of poetics and narrative, in which readers are summoned to join revealing a whole new world of fiction. In that kind of fiction, when the protagonist takes his part in mythical conception (sky-protagonist-earth), subsuming equally historical (elements of factual truth) and poetic (philosophical) side of the protagonist, Andrić's narrator merges into the frame in which vision of complex truth is guided by the primary wish of making the unique sublimation of the artistic (literary) truth.en_US
