dc.description.abstractThe main aim of this paper is to calculate three-phase bolted short-circuit currents in the time domain for a radial medium voltage (MV) feeder, which has one induction generator (IG) and one synchronous generator (SG) at different locations. Individual responses of distribution network, IG and SG in case of fault are well known and they differ significantly from each other. In active distribution network short-circuit analysis is usually performing using commercially available software packages due to the complexity of the procedure. By using the mentioned models and the theorem of superposition, fault currents calculation in time domain, for all elements and feeder sections, is demonstrated, with the elementary use of computer. It is shown that, without affecting accuracy some parameters of the elements can be neglecteden_US
