dc.description.abstractWith the fourth industrial, i.e. digital revolution, we have a chance to catch up with developed countries. This technological revolution is fundamentally changing our lives, it is inevitable and unstoppable. The digitization process improves the standard and quality of life of citizens of every society. Efficiency increases, costs are reduced and new value is created in almost all areas of life and work. The digitization process is the most important catalyst for innovation, competitiveness and growth. Electronic administration gives state institutions the opportunity to provide services via the Internet to their citizens and the economy in an easy and simple way. This means cost reduction, optimal and efficient work and less crowding at the counters. In the paper, the author analyzes strategic documents important for the development of e-government, the current legal framework with special emphasis on digital portals of administrative bodies.en_US
