The development of the articulation of the sounds of the mother tongue is a process that begins at birth and ends around the age of eight. The aim of this paper is to investigate the relationship between oral praxis and articulation in children and to understand the relationship between these two variables. The sample consisted of 283 children aged 4 to 7 without neurological lesions, sensory and physical impairments. The subjects were divided into two groups: children with articulation disorder (experimental) and children with normal development of speech and language abilities (control). The subjects were tested with the Global Articulation Test (Kostić, Vladisavljević 1983) and the Oral Praxis Test (Radičević, Stevanković 1992). The research results showed that the level of development of oral practice significantly correlates with the level of development of articulation.en_US
