RAĐANJE TEOLOGIJE IZ DUHA FILOLOGIJE: O POETSKOM ZASNIVANJU TEOLOŠKOG DISKURSA

Abstract

The starting thesis of this study is that theological discourse does not function exclusively as a system of dogmatic propositions, normative definitions, and proclamations, but rather as a poetically constituted structure of meaning in which poetic elements play a constitutive rather than a merely aesthetic role. In this sense, discourse analysis is extended from the examination of the ideological, institutional, and historical frameworks of the theodiscourse to an analysis of its inner poetic logic. Following the Nietzschean proclamation of the death of God, understood as a key event for all subsequent theology, the paper argues that, under conditions of the loss of a stable object of theological speech, theology is transformed from a metaphysical into a poetically grounded discourse. Drawing on insights from postmodern theology, deconstruction, and Radical Orthodoxy, the paper emphasizes that theological language is inevitably ideologically marked and therefore prone to misuse, which is why an authentic discourse (about) God can be realized only in an apophatic and poetic register. From this perspective, theopoetics emerges as an interstitial space between theology and poetics, in which poetry assumes an ontologically relevant role in articulating the sacred after the death of God and in its renewed disclosure.
