dc.description.abstract | Indoor swimming pools are buildings with relatively complex energy systems and relatively high energy and water consumption. This paper presents a methodological approach to energy auditing of indoor swimming pool buildings based on ISO 50002. It also includes the application of a multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) method for ranking the proposed energy conservation measures. Since an MCDM method used in energy auditing should not be complex, the authors suggested using the weighted sum method (WSM). A simple ranking method was used for the selection of weights of performance. For the justification of this approach, the authors compared the results of the ranking method with the widely used AHP and fuzzy AHP that are more complex and time-consuming. The methodology was applied to a case study indoor swimming pool in Kragujevac (Serbia). Applying energy conservation measures that enable relatively fast payback period (less than 5 years), energy consumption in the swimming pool can be reduced by 29%. | - |
