Wheat and corn are main source of carbohydrates in the human and domestic animals diet. Growing need for the production of quality proteins dictates the use of other cereals for this purpose. Cyprinids (Cyprinidae) are the most common fish in world aquaculture. In the numerous experiments were performed with the replacement of wheat and corn with other cereals in feed mixtures for these species. It has been established that the value of cereals for this purpose can be ranked: wheat > triticale > corn > barley > rye > sorghum > millet.en_US
