Title: REČENICE BEZ PREDIKATA U LIRSKOJ PROZI MILOVANA DANOJLIĆA
Authors: Despotović, Julijana S.
Issue Date: 2020
Abstract: : The language of Milovan Danojlić’s lyrical prose is marked by the frequent use of sentences without predicates. Based on the corpus, which consists of three novels by Milovan Danojlić: Zmijin svlak, Godina prolazi kroz avliju, and Balada o siromaštvu, several types of sentences without predicates are extracted according to syntactic-semantic criteria. Danojlić most often uses elliptical or nominative sentences, which, depending on their structure, may have different degrees of actualization and independence in relation to context. In addition, Danojlić often uses infinitive sentences. The paper also deals with literary and artistic values of such units, which, in stylistic terms, are more effective and expressive than their equivalents with predicate.
