Abstract: This paper discusses the current situation in the service sector in the field of higher education in the context of encouraging population development in Serbia. Depopulation is an endemic problem of Serbian society. It is necessary to start looking for an adequate answer to the question of how to encourage population policy in Serbia as soon as possible. In that sense, it is necessary to subject to critical analysis the current Strategy for Encouraging Birth in Serbia, and particularly its part that is dedicated to population education. In addition, it is necessary to consider potential future measures in the field of education, which would be aimed not only at encouraging reproductive behavior, but also towards a more complete and better understanding of population problems and issues.
