Authors: Josijevic, Jelena
Issue Date: 2018
Abstract: This paper aims at analysing Elma Mitchell’s poem Thoughts after Ruskin from the perspective of stylistic analysis. The paper focuses on verbs and their phonological, morphological and semantic features. The analysis will show that these verb properties contribute significantly to the meaning and interpretation of the poem. The analysis will thus illustrate the potential of phonology and morphology and their power in poetic and literary expression. The analysis will also have to address the semantic aspects of different morphological forms.
