Abstract

The paper deals with the problem of the quality of service activities in higher education in the context of the development of the information society in Serbia. The emergence and exceptional development of information and communication technologies has fundamentally changed all aspects of social life and necessitated the rapid adaptation and transformation of all aspects of society in us. This may be mostly the case with the service sector in, both education as a whole and higher education. As the projected timeframe foreseen in the Strategy for the Development of the Information Society in the Republic of Serbia by 2020 is coming to an end, it is necessary to consider and undergo a critical analysis, both of the proposed solutions envisaged in this act and the extent to which they have been implemented. This paper is also dedicated to pointing out possible new approaches so that the service industry in an extremely important field of higher education not only responds to the current challenges of the new age, but also represents the development engine of the information society as a whole.
