The paper analyzes provisions 5, 6, 13 and 63 of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which define the role of civil society in anti-corruption efforts. In the second part of the paper, a theoretical discussion was conducted on the importance of civil society in the fight against corruption. It points to some specifics that civil society organizations encounter when pointing out corruption in countries where there is no political will to fight this type of crime. At the end of the paper, the situation in Serbia regarding those issues is indicated and conclusions are given.en_US
