dc.description.abstract	There are not many solutions in the history of automobile engines that had provoked such amount of controversy, praises and critiques, like timing belts. Timing belt drive is relatively young drive that originates from 1950’s. Development of timing belt drives continues, regarding both the teeth profiles and the application of new materials that they are made of. Their application grows, primarily thanks to the application of timing belts as drives of IC engine’s camshaft. Today, these drives have broad application in all areas of industry.	en_US
