Abstract: The results of testing the influence of lubricant viscosity on the efficiency of the worm gear reducer are presented in this paper. The results are performed on the specialized testing device AT200 at the Center for testing power transmission at the Faculty of Engineering in Kragujevac, Serbia. The efficiency of worm gear reducer is determined for different values of input number of revolution, output torque and by variation of two types of oil. The lubricant of viscosity of 220 mm2/s and 680 mm2/s areused in the tests. The tests are performed according to the pre-defined experiment plan. The analysis of the results shows that the efficiency of the worm gear reducer increases with the increase of the number of revolutions of the input shaft, braking torque (current intensity of the brake), and the viscosity of the oil.
