dc.description.abstractDisturbances of ecosystem, caused by the discharge of untreated wastewater, have grown over time to such an extent that the treatment imposed as a necessity. During the wastewater treatment, the mechanical, biological, and if necessary, chemical purification is carried out. The biological treatment i.e., biological filtration of wastewater is described in the paper. The biofiltration process and operation of the biofilter are described in detail in the paper as well as calculation of thetricklingbiofilter and its 3D model.en_US
